LeShawn Roberts - Herzing University

Guiding Operations with Experience and Vision

As Regional Vice President of Operations, LeShawn Roberts oversees all Herzing University operations in Florida. Though relatively new to Herzing with just over two years of service, Roberts brings a wealth of experience from his 20-year career in higher education.

A Rich Background in Educational Leadership

Before joining the Herzing family, Roberts held several leadership positions including campus president, regional academic dean, academic dean, program chair and adjunct faculty member.

"The culmination of my experience, dedication to student success, and belief in Professionalism, Respect, Integrity, Caring, and Engagement in support of all students led me to HU," explains Roberts.

Creating Lasting Memories

When asked about his most memorable experiences at Herzing, Roberts points to ceremonial milestones that showcase student achievement.

"The most memorable was my first pinning ceremony and commencement ceremony. I have been a part of several over the past 20 years; however, none of the ceremonies I previously attended were as heartfelt and impactful. The feeling at each ceremony was palpable and it still brings me joy each one I attend."

Fostering Daily Connections

Roberts takes a hands-on approach to engagement with the Herzing community. "I enjoy engaging students and staff every morning when I arrive. I make sure I take time to visit individuals in their offices, stop by classrooms and spend time in the student commons to speak with students."

Beyond his daily interactions, Roberts serves in various committees related to employee engagement and student success at the University.

For students navigating their educational journey, Roberts offers this advice: "Every day seek to learn something new and know that you are not alone on your journey to greatness!"
