His advocacy extends to pediatric dental care as well. "When a baby is born, after leaving the hospital their first two doctor visits should be with their pediatrician and pedodontist," he argues. Kelvin notes that parents often don't bring their children to dental offices until they're experiencing pain, emphasizing the need for better education about infant oral care, including cleaning babies' mouths after meals and avoiding bedtime bottles.
